Frequently asked questions.
Will there be a day 2 event?
The only official celebration will be on Friday the 10th of October. For those living in London or extending their visit, we welcome you to join the families at an informal gathering in a neighbourhood pub. Details will be shared closer to the time.
What is the dress code?
We would love to see our men in dark, formal suits and ladies in elegant dresses.
Where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will start at 2pm sharp in the Westminster Room of the Old Marylebone Town Hall. The venue has a website with more information on address, accessibility and other FAQs.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 1:30pm. Please aim to arrive at the Town Hall by 1:45pm latest to ensure you have time to locate the Westminster Room and find your seat.
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony will last 30 minutes.
Where is the reception?
The reception will take place at Kindred in Hammersmith.
More information and contact details for the reception venue can be found at this website.
How do I get from the ceremony to the reception?
We have organised a private transfer for the guests that will depart from the Old Marylebone Town Hall at 3pm latest.
There will be drinks, music, and entertainment on board. The estimated arrival time is 3:30pm, which may vary due to traffic.
If, for any reason, you prefer to make your own way, please aim to arrive at the venue no earlier than 3:45pm.
What should I expect with the weather?
Typically, temperatures in early October are between 15C and 20C. We advise checking the forecast when choosing outerwear.
All events are held inside and you will be transported between venues. There will be a coat check available at the reception venue.
How do I get back to my hotel?
London has many taxi services available: Uber, Bolt and Addison Lee. Depending on where you are staying, the Piccadilly, Central and Victoria line run through the night on Fridays.
What day should I arrive if I don’t live in London?
Thank you for making the journey to be part of our special day! To reduce uncertainty, we recommend arriving the night before. Most hotels do not allow guests to check in before 2pm, so please take this under consideration when scheduling your trip.
Can I bring luggage with me?
The ceremony venue asks that suitcases be left in the foyer to keep the ceremony rooms clear. Please note this is an open area.
Due to limited space on the provided transport to the reception, you will need to arrange your own way there if you have a suitcase.
Small backpacks that fit under your seat are fine for both.
The reception venue has a cloakroom for your bags and suitcases.
